Below a list of frequently asked questions. I'm interested, what now? Come down and see what we do! Our instructors will be happy to talk to you on the night. You can either join in (first lesson free!) or sit and watch. What should I wear? To start with you can wear something comfortable such as a track suit. Gi (White Suit) are available from the club for around £20. What ages do you take? Our Junior class runs on thursday nights 6:30pm-7:30pm and takes ages 6-13. Unfortunately, we cannot accept children under 6 for insurance purposes. Our adult classes take ages 13-130+ When should I come? We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7.30pm - 9.00pm and Wednesday 8.00pm - 9.30pm. I practice Aikido elsewhere, can I come for a one-off session? We welcome guests and enjoy training with new people and swapping different ways of doing aikido techniques. How much will it cost? Did we mention your first lesson is free? For Aikido, the cost is £3 per session for Adults, £2 for Students and £2.50 for the Junior Class. To cover insurance you are required to join our governing body, United Martial Arts, at the cost of £20 per year. Mirfield Martial Arts Club is a non-profit making organisation and all fees are retained by the club. How do I get there? Check out the directions in our contact us section.
