40 students over two days, the Annual Summer Course is the highlight of Mirfield Martial Arts Club’s calendar. It’s a chance for our members and guests to try out other styles and train with some of the country’s highest ranking instructors. This year was no exception with instruction in Aikido, Judo, jujitsu, and Karate. The course is run not-for-profit to ensure as many members as possible can attend. A spokesman for the club noted, “This year’s line-up of instructors was excellent and the students really enjoyed the broad range of styles and teaching. The atmosphere over the two days was a pleasure to see.” Thanks to organisers Paul Wood and Charmaine Thompson for organising the schedule and thanks to Tokushima Budo Council International for their support. A special thanks to local legends Maughan’s Homebake for providing lunches to some very hungry students.
