As you will have no doubt seen in the news, Mirfield and Ledgard Bridge Mill was one of the places affected by the flooding on Boxing Day 2016.
We managed to get to the club in the morning on Boxing Day and lifted the mats onto tables out of the way. Luckily, although the water reached the doorway of the club, we narrowly avoided being flooded. As there was due to be a second rain storm and the car park being a mud bath, the instructors decided to cancel the classes over Christmas.
The mats have now been put back down and classes are continuing as normal.
To see the full extent of the flooding, check out this drone footage from Steve Benson of Project Mirfield You can see Ledgard Bridge Mill and the dojo at 1:50.
Also, below are a few photos I took during and after the flooding.
