About Us
Based in Mirfield, we’re one of the UK’s longest-established martial arts clubs.
Mirfield Martial Arts Club is a long-established, not-for-profit community club based in Mirfield, West Yorkshire. Since 1975, we’ve been teaching Aikido, Karate, Judo and Jiu-Jitsu to adults and children across the region.
We are run 100% by volunteers — no contracts, no pressure, no hidden agendas. Just a welcoming place to train, learn and grow.
Every class is led by an experienced, fully insured, DBS-checked black belt instructor, recognised by respected UK Budo associations.

Our club is rooted in traditional Aikido, taught by senior black belt instructors with decades of experience. Many of our coaches also hold high-level grades in Karate, Judo and Jiu Jitsu, which enriches our teaching and benefits every student.
